The journey of illegal immigrants from Syria to Hungary ended on the banks of the Tisa

Yesterday, Chop border guards detained another group of "seekers of happiness", who were trying to illegally get to the EU.

While patrolling the area in the morning, border guards of the "Salovka" department found a group of people near the border. There were four of them – a man, a woman and two children. As is usual in such cases, the detainees were not carrying any documents and told the border guards that they were citizens of Syria. The end-point of their journey was to be Austria. In addition, border guards found a rubber boat which the offenders were planning to use to get to Hungary by crossing the Tisa river.

The offenders were taken to the station for identification, establishment of the circumstances of the offense and drafting administrative and procedural documents. Their further fate and responsibility under the law will be determined by the court.
