The Jerusalem Shroud of the Mother of God has arrived to Transcarpathia (SCHEDULE in Mukachevo and Uzhgorod)

November 10, the Jerusalem Shroud of the Mother of God arrived to Mukachevo Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP). For the last two months the worldwide sanctuary, with the blessing of the Primate of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church His Beatitude Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine Theophilos III, has been situated in Ukraine.

At the request of Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Volodymyr, the stay of the sanctuary in our country was extended so that the Mukachevo diocese was included in the schedule.

At 16 o’clock the sanctuary was greeted by hundreds of diocese clergy and faithfuls headed by the Reverend Theodore, Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod.

Officials of Mukachevo and Mukachevo district also took part in the meeting of the Shroud.

After the meeting, a solemn prayer to the Virgin Mary was served in the Cathedral, and later the All-Night solemn worship was served, led by Archbishop Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod.

In his pastoral address to the faithful, the Bishop spoke about the power and importance of this shrine to the Christian world and called to venerate to the Shroud of the Mother of God with humility and deep faith and ask her to strengthen our faith, our love and hope.

Schedule of worships during the stay of the Jerusalem Shroud of the Mother of God in Mukachevo

November 11 at 10.00 in Mukachevo Cathedral (Fyodorov sq. (near the Central Mall) the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy will start.

At 15.00 the sanctuary will be transported to the city of Uzhgorod.

Schedule of worships during the stay of the Jerusalem Shroud of the Mother of God

November 11 – meeting of the sanctuary at 16.45 in the of Holy Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral in Uzhgorod, Cyril and Methodius sq.).

17. 00 – solemn prayer before the Shroud of the Mother of God.

November 12 – at 7.00 the early Divine Liturgy begins, at 10.00 the late Divine Liturgy begins (Holy Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral in Uzhgorod, Cyril and Methodius sg.)).

17.00 – All-Night solemn worship.

November 13 – at 07.00 the early Divine Liturgy starts (Holy Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral in Uzhgorod, Cyril and Methodius sq.)).

At 11.00 – a solemn prayer before the Shroud of the Mother of God with Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod Theodore.

At 12.00 – the departure of the shrine to the Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy (13.11 – 11.14).
