The issue of construction in the park is in the hands of city deputies

The scheduled meeting of the Land Commission of Uzhgorod City Council took place in Uzhgorod. The main issue was the construction in the green zone on Dostoevsky street. The Commission listened to both parties of the new land conflict. Representatives of the developer presented all necessary and approved documents, while writer Petro Hodanych, who lives in the house next to the park, spoke on behalf of the community.   The Commission decided to consider the issue at the next meeting of the city council – this was reported to uzhgorod.in by social activist Oleksandr Volosyansky.

"There are two solutions to the problem of construction in the park on Dostoevsky street – the chairman of the Land Commission Oleksandr Doktor said – the Department of Land suspend the building permit until the issue is solved. Another option is to authorize the Department of Land to find a similar plot within the land reserves of the city and, taking into account the amount spent on the project estimates, grant it to current owners of both privatized territories."

The next meeting of city deputies will be held on September 20.
