On September 21-27, the International Tourism Week in Transcarpathia will take place in Uzhgorod. It will be full of various events aimed at popularization of recreation and search of ways to solve the problems existing currently in the industry. During the International Tourism Week in Transcarpathia, there will be discussions of the prospects for tourism development in the region, the introduction of new projects in the tourism sector, presentation of tourism products in the regions of Ukraine and foreign countries and attraction of investment in the tourism industry of Transcarpathia.
The events of the International Tourism Week in Transcarpathia
On Wednesday, September 21, in the art center "Ilko Gallery" (Koshitska st., 28), the two-day international scientific conference on the topic "Three T’s for Transcarpathia: tourism, technology, transportation" will start. The opening is at 10.15.
September 23 – 24, in the premises and the surrounding area of Uzhgorod cultural and historical center "Owl’s Nest", the largest in the region International Fair and Exhibition "Toureurocenter – Transcarpathia 2014" will be held. New trends and relevant opportunities of the tourism industry will be presented in about seventy locations. During the exhibition and fair, there will be the presentation of rural tourism: workshops on cooking national dishes and making handicrafts, tasting Transcarpathian wines and honey products. The inauguration of the Fair and Exhibition "Toureurocenter – Transcarpathia 2014" will take place on September 23, at 10.00.
International Investment Forum "Transcarpathia – business in the center of Europe" will take place on September 24 in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The theme of this year’s event: "Investment projects in tourism in Transcarpathia." Representatives of Transcarpathian and European businesses, investment companies, leading international experts will discuss issues of attracting investments in the tourism industry of the region. Districts and cities of Transcarpathia will present investment opportunities and successful projects that are currently being implemented in the tourism sector of the region.
The tourism investment forum will be attended by more than 40 heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine, representatives of tourism organizations and companies from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic. The official opening of the investment forum is at 10.00.
