The inspector has come! What will the Ecology Minister be inspecting in Transcarpathia?

Today, in Transcarpathia, the guest from the government is interested in natural parks and, possibly, the most urgent topic of deforestration. On August 22, 2016, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ostap Semerak has come to Transcarpathian region for a working visit. 

During the trip, a meeting with heads of national parks chaired by the Minister on the expansion of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine areas will be held at the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.

It is planned to discuss the state of the expansion of protected areas in the National Park "Synevyr", "Enchanted Land", Uzhok national park, and the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.    Recall that according to the State Regional Development Strategy for the period up to 2020 and the President’s Program, already in 2017 the protected areas should be 11% of the total area of ​​the state, and in 2021 – 15%, respectively.
