On June 26, 22,500 doses of the five-component Pentaxim vaccine provided by the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod were delivered at the checkpoint "Tisa", József Barta wrote on his Facebook page.

This gift for Ukraine was prepared by the Government of Hungary within the framework of the Hungarian national program for immunization of Transcarpathian children for 2017-2021. The valuable cargo was received by the Transcarpathian regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.
The press conference devoted to this event was attended by the head of the Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov, the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council József Barta, the Minister’s representative for cooperation between Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Transcarpathia regions István Greja, the Consul General Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhajla and others.
Istvan Greja noted that the vaccine is of high quality and has the appropriate certification. He stated that, according to the latest observations of the situation with the spread of covid-19 in the world, the disease is spreading and progressing less in those countries where children’s immunization rate is high. Therefore, such initiatives remain relevant.
Therefore, József Barta noted that cross-border cooperation with neighboring EU member states, which are willing to help us, is now extremely important. Undoubtedly, such actions and in general close cooperation between border regions, international cooperation have a positive impact on the development of the region, maintaining public health and strengthening good neighborly relations between our countries.
