The Hungarian forint has reached a historic low: living in the neighboring country is becoming more costly

The Hungarian national currency has reached a record low against major currencies, MyHungary.Net reported.

Forint / Euro quotations hit 336.02, which is the lowest exchange rate. Forint / Dollar quotations also reached 307.6.

Earlier, when asked by Reuters, the National Bank of Hungary said it had no target for the exchange rate. According to the news website portfolio.hu, there are several reasons for the record low forint: Brexit inactivity, the US-China trade war, and the economic situation in Germany. Along with the growth of the forint exchange rate, prices are also steadily rising in the country. For many people, living in Hungary is becoming more costly, and food prices have recently risen higher than general inflation in the country.
