On August 18-20, Uzhgorod will host the traditional VIIth Festival of Transcarpathian Honey "Honey Savior" organized by the Association of Beekeepers of Transcarpathia, the MU "UzhFest" with the support of Uzhgorod City Council.
This year’s venue of the holiday is Rakoczy street (near the "Owl’s Nest") and the Heroes of the Maidan park.
The festival-fair starts on Friday, August 18, at 11:00. The official opening and blessing of honey will take place on Saturday at 13 o’clock. On Saturday, a concert and entertainment program will also take place.
More than two dozen beekeepers from all over the region will present various types of honey – spring, lime, acacia, summer grasses, forest, mountain, as well as bee products (propolis, wax, royal jelly, pollen, etc.). Visitors will also be able to taste honey drinks, such as kvass, wine, balsam, honey gingerbread, caramel.
At the festival, visitors will also be able to see how bees work, a special viewing beehive will be installed for that.
The finish of the"Honey Savior" is scheduled for approximately 20:00 on Sunday, August 20.
