The head of the region presented awards to the winners of the contest for design of the monument to fallen heroes of the ATO

On July 12, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration met with the winners of the open contest for the best design of the monument to people who gave their lives for Ukraine during the anti-terrorist operation.

The contestants had to display the important historical event in the life of Ukraine using means of monumental sculpture. Professional sculptors had the chance to submit their project in accordance with the requirements set out in the official media from February 13 to May 13. After that, there was a public presentation of the projects in the foyer of the RSA building and a number of thematic meetings with the participation of executives and industry experts, military officers, members of the public and the authors of projects. And on June 30, the competent jury announced the results of the contest.   

So, today Hennadiy Moskal congratulated Mykhailo Belen on the third place and handed him the reward of 6,000 UAH, the reward of 10,000 UAH – to the winner of the second prize Vasyl Roman, and the winner of the contest Vasyl Olashyn received a certificate of the best project author with whom an agreement on the construction of the monument on the Hill of Glory in Uzhgorod will be conclude.

In passing, the head of the Regional State Administration examined all submitted projects and talked with Vasyl Olashynym about the commencement and timing of the project.
