The Government of Ukraine will approve the proposal of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry on the introduction of emergency measures on electricity market for one month, but demands from the Ministry to bring order to the market.
This was announced by the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk opening the Cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.
As reported, the Cabinet, by the Resolution №372 of August 13, 2014, approved the procedure for intriduction of temporary emergency measures to overcome the effects of prolonged disruption of normal work of electricity market and, by the Resolution №764 of the same date, for the first time approved the need for such measures.
Subsequently, these measures were continued by resolutions of October 1, November 7, December 8, 2014, January 14 and February 25, 2015.
Temporary emergency measures can be applied for a period not exceeding one month. The Cabinet may decide on extension of the temporary emergency measures taken, but no more than for one month.
