For decoration of this year’s main Christmas tree of Transcarpathia, the existing fairy lights and toys were used – those the RSA already has since previous years – because spending extra money on decorations now would be inappropriate, the press service of the administration informed.
However, to make the New Year’s symbol look more current, big balls have been updated – they acquired patriotic colors.
Thus, there are the colors of the Ukrainian flag on the main Christmas tree in Transcarpathia. The grand lighting of the main Christmas tree of the region was held, recall, on St. Nicholas Day – Friday, 19 December. The ceremony was attended by kids from districts of the region, including children of the ATO participants. In the lobby of the RSA, a festive event was held for them.
