The government promises to make wine growing profitable (video)

Government promises: growing grapes will become profitable. The program of state compensation for planting orchards and vineyards in Ukraine has been launched. If years ago only farmers could rely on funding, now gardeners with a garden of 20 hectares can too. The government will compensate for plants, the construction of fruit storage, equipment and irrigation systems. According to the ministry, it will reduce the import. Ukraine is now purchasing 80 percent of grapes.

 Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine:

 – The social orientation of the government’s actions is aimed at supporting Ukrainian village and at rural development. Our natural climatic conditions allow growing grapes all over Ukraine, with seeds – almost throughout the whole country, berries – all over the country.

We remind that in May this year the Minister visited Transcarpathia, and praising the initiative of local farmers, talked about the need for government support of the restoration and extension of garden areas and vineyards.
