This year, the funds will be allocated from the regional budget for the production and complex state examination of construction documents for the reconstruction of the International Airport "Uzhgorod". The relevant draft decision "On amendments to the program of improvement of the efficiency of the airport "Uzhgorod" is to be considered at the second plenary meeting of the 23rd session of the Regional Council – this was reported by the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko to employees of the airport during a visit to the company.
The main activities of the project "Reconstruction of the International Airport "Uzhgorod" provide for reconstruction of:
runway – provides for the recovery of asphalt pavement and expansion to 45 m;
taxiway – provides for the recovery of asphalt pavement and expansion to 18 m with sidelines of 3.5 m;
transformer substation number 2;
technical buildings – provides for repair of facades, roofs of buildings and their interior – and others.
The reconstruction is to be implemented at the expense of the State Regional Development Fund for 2015 – 2016.
According to the amendments to the program, it is planned to allocated this year from the regional budget UAH 4 million 30 thousand for the development of the airport "Uzhgorod", the press service of the Regional Council informed.
