And also once again stresses on the "humanitarian crisis" in Transcarpathia – the Mukachevo.net reported
The Government of Hungary has allocated over 650 million forints (about 2.5 million dollars) to help the Transcarpatian minority. This was announced on April 13 in Budapest by Zsolt Semjén, the Hungarian Vice Prime Minister responsible for national policy.
The Chairman of the KMKSZ Laszlo Brenzovych thanked for their support and told that "there is a deep economic crisis in Ukraine, the situation is very difficult, the currency is devalued, prices have increased significantly."
In total, these funds are intended to help more than 10 thousand Transcarpathians – including teachers at Hungarian schools, religious organizations and others.
"The government of Hungary once again appealed to each regional center of Hungary with a call to take responsibility for the fate of the Transcarpathian Hungarian community to assist them in order to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe" – this was stated last week by the manager of the Prime Minister’s office Janos Lazar.
Many cities and regions from all over Hungary have contributed to the "humanitarian aid to Transcarpathia"
