Tomorrow, June 28, at 12:00, in Uzhgorod, on Vitaliy Postolaki square, there will be the opening of the memorial in honor of Uzhgorod residents fallen in the Russian-Ukrainian war. This is stated in the post on the page of the NGO "Carpathian Sich" on Facebook.
Recall that the idea of the need for such a memorial was announced in February by the military commissar of Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod district Mykola Zhuravlev.
"The monument was made for the funds of the community, the government has not allocated a penny for its installation.
Currently, 17 Uzhgorod residents have been killed in the Donbas.
We appeal to all people to come and pay tribute to the Heroes" – it is stated in the post.
