Rabies vaccine was shipped to all regions of Ukraine.

This was announced by the Acting Minister of Health Uliana Suprun on Facebook.

"91,390 doses of the "Rabipur" vaccine have been shipped to all regions. If you or someone in your family has been bitten by an animal, be sure to contact the nearest hospital. At present, all regional and district hospitals have rabies vaccine, which is the only way to protect yourselves from rabies. Treatment is free" – Suprun wrote.

The Acting Minister also stressed that if a victim is denied treatment, they should contact the Ministry of Health hotline: 0-800-801-333.

The largest number of the vaccine doses were sent to Dnipropetrovsk (10,510 doses), Donetsk (9,000 doses) and Zaporizhzhya regions (7,045 doses).

As reported, the rabies vaccine produced by the "GlaxoSmithKline" was purchased after two years break at the expense of the state budget by the UNICEF fund.
