A 70-year-old resident of the city of Khust became another victim of phone scams. In afternoon, an unknown man, who called himself an investigator, phoned the woman and said that her son had been arrested for a crime. To save him from prison, she had to pay money.
The trusting mother believed him and transferred through a bank terminal 14,000 UAH. After that, the woman called the son, who said that he was all right, nobody had detained him…
Law enforcement officials once again warn countrymen: do not believe telephone fraudsters and their stories. Do not give them your money, and immediately report such incidents to the police.
