Uzhgorod City and District Court delivered its verdict regarding the Office for Refugees of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in Transcarpathian region.
The official, who in August 2012 demanded and received from a citizen A. a bribe in the amount of 16,000 UAH, was convicted under Part 3 of Art.368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribery) and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with deprivation of the right to occupy positions related to performance of organizational, administrative, or administrative and economic functions for three years, and the probation period of 1 year.
