On the occasion of the coming 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Separate Border Guard Corps, which will be celebrated on April 30, the border guards of the Chop detachment climbed to one of the peaks of Transcarpathian region.
The servicemen and employees of the detachment, together with their families, climbed at 1130 meters above sea level to the mountain Cheremkha in Velyky Berezny district. There, at the highest point, they planted the State Flag and the flag of the State Border Guard Service.
In this way, the servicemen paid tribute the historical events of 1918, when the first Ukrainian border guard unit was established, and made the first steps in the celebration of the significant date.
