The first truck scanner has been put into operation at the Transcarpathian Customs

Seven more scanners are planned to be put into operation in the near future.
The first stationary scanner, which will accelerate the inspection of cargoes by 10 times, has been put into operation at the Transcarpathian Customs. Seven more scanners are planned to be put into operation in the near future. This was reported by the Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk, the Government portal informed.
"The Lviv customs office has conducted technical testing of the devices at the checkpoints Rava-Ruska, Krakovets and Shehyni. They will be put into operation properly in the near future. Volyn and Chernivtsi customs are also preparing to the launch of such systems,” – the message reads.
In his turn, the Head of the State Customs Service Maxim Nefyodov explained that the Ukrainian-Polish section of the state border, the checkpoint Yahodyn-Dorohusk processes 400-500 trucks per day in one direction, while the scanning system is capable to process 240-250 vehicles per day.
Thus, the categories of goods subject to mandatory scanning will be identified for the checkpoint.
The estimated time for one scan is 20 minutes.
