The first trial of an activist from Narodna Square lasted 10 minutes

About 10 minutes was enough for Uzhgorod city and district court judge Ivashkovych in the case of Uzhgorod journalist, social activist Oleg Dyba. The judge adjourned the meeting until October 16 – during this time Oleg Dyba must get acquainted with the materials of the case.

As you know, Oleg Dyba, along with other activists, on Saturday, October 5, tried to prevent the construction works on Narodna Square, because they were illegal. In response, the police arrested Mr. Dyba along with several other activists.

At the police station, they drew up reports against them for alleged non-compliance with legal requirements of the police officers. In court, the police accuse the journalist under Article 185 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences – "Persistent disobedience to lawful order or requirement of a police officer, a member of a public body for the protection of public order and border guard, a military officer."

Tomorrow, October 9th, the Uzhgorod City and District Court will hear the cases on similar charges against activists Tomas Lelekach, Serhiy Biley, Tomas Tomas (13.00), Roman Sarkanych (14.00), the next day – October 10 – against Oleksandr Volosyansky (08.45).

Also tomorrow, October 9, at 14.00, they will consider the lawsuit of the developer against the activists Oleksandr Volosyansky, Yuliya Bub, Nataliya Voloshin, Vitaliy Gregor. The developer accuses activists of interfering with the construction works.
