The first phase of the competition “The budget of the country through the eyes of a child” ends April

Children’s art contest "The budget of the country through the eyes of a child", designed to nurture a culture of honest taxpayers among schoolchildren and to introduce them to the profession of tax and customs service specialist, continues in Ukraine.

Currently, the first phase, which takes place at the district level and is held by state tax authorities of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region, is coming to the end. Two categories of students – 9-11 and 12-15 years – take part in the competition. Works are accepted until April 1, 2014.

Areas of work accepted from participants are artworks, computer graphics (animation) and literary works.

The second phase will be held in May and will take place at the regional level, where the best student works among those sent among districts will be determined. Authors, who will take first places at the second stage, will be the winners of the national level.

Winners of the regional qualifying rounds will take part in nationwide determination of the winners that will take place during June and August this year.

According to experts of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region, the main objective of the competition is the formation of economic awareness and culture in students, and the study and understanding of the role, importance and place of taxes, fees and charges in the life of the state and society.
