Today, in the center of the city, the festival-competition "Nom-Nom-Fest" took place in Uzhgorod as part of the celebration of the International Children’s Day.
The chefs of 25 kindergartens and educational complexes submitted their culinary works, that can be cooked in educational institutions and included to the menus.
The jury, which rated the dishes, included: the secretary of the Uzhgorod City Council, the curator of the educational branch and the initiator of the festival Andriana Gabor, confectioner Valentin Shtefanyo, process engineer Marta Prokopishina, the director of the restaurant "La Buche" Katerina Bugembaeva.
The jury scored the dishes and ranked the best ones in the nominations: "The most original presentation" – educational complex "Harmonia", "The most beneficial dishes" – kindergarten No. 21 "Lastovichka", "Sweet dream" – kindergarten No. 29 "Dyvosvit", "Nobody has ever had anything like that!" – kindergarten No. 36.
The winners were awarded certificates for 10 thousand hryvnias for the purchase of kitchen equipment and certificates for dinner at the restaurant "Uzhgorodsky zamok". All participants received sweet presents – cake "Uzhgorod" from the famous confectioner Valentin Shtefanyo – and gratitude from the mayor Bohdan Andriyiv for participation in the festival.
