Today, December 2, the first mini-sculpture in the city was unveiled in Svalyava. It is Count Erwin-Frederick Carl von Schönborn-Buchheim (1842 – 1903). The author of the sculpture is Roman Murnyk.
As the head of the Transcarpathian Tourism Organization Fedir Shandor wrote on his page in the social network Facebook, Schönborns (Vienna branch) are directly related to Svalyava’s development as a city. At their initiative, a mineral water plant was opened in Svalyava.
Counts Schönborn were the rulers of the Mukachevo-Chynadiyevo dominion.
