Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv today attended a social event – the opening of the first electric car salon in the region with the launch of the taxi service with these vehicles.
Bohdan Andriyiv congratulated Uzhgorod residents on the launch of the new modern business, which will contribute to the preservation of the environment in our city and in Transcarpathia in general, and stressed that it would also bring new jobs and money to the budget.
He thanked the owners who took the risk of launching such an innovative business and assured that the city authorities would be promoting the development of the network of charging stations necessary for electric vehicles.
One of the entrepreneurs, Oleksandr Kravtsov, said that he had come from Europe just yesterday, having driven 10 thousand kilometers in an electric car, and saw that Europe starts here, because in Ukraine everyone knows what "Tesla" is and why electric vehicles are important.
Another businessman, Vadim Voitovich, emphasized that an electric car can be charged both at home, and on the road, so you can safely plan long journeys through Uzhgorod to Europe.
The owner of the new Uzhgorod car salon and taxi service Vasyl Yabrik thanked the team of workers who helped him to implement his idea, gave examples of innovative solutions that Uzhgorod residents can befeit from using electric taxis.
