The fight against street vendors in Uzhgorod continues

For several days now, Uzhgorod patrol policemen have been working on prevention of unauthorized trade on the central streets of the city. The sale of food and manufactured goods on the city streets is not uncommon. Goods are usually placed on sidewalks, right on the ground. Often, illegal trade hinders pedestrian and even vehicular traffic. Recently, a crew of the patrol police was approached by a woman who reported that near the market on Kvitkova Street in Chop unknown persons were trading in manufactured goods without proper documents. Arriving at the scene, the policemen found an unauthorized point of sale. The seller had no document certifying the right to trade in that place. The patrol policemen responded properly and drew out a report on administrative violation against the infringer under Article 160 of the CoAO (trade in prohibited places). Please note that this offense is punishable by a fine with seizure of the goods.
