On Sunday, July 28, in Volovets on Karpatska street, with the support of the Transcarpathian Regional Council deputy Miroslav Shcherbey, there will be the annual festival of kolomyika "Ringing pearls of the Verkhovyna." This folklore festival is held in order to preserve the authenticity of the Verkhovyna music.
The festival program:
8.00 – 10.00 – Deployment of exhibitions of flowers, arts and crafts, hunting trophies.
11.40 – 12.00 – Gathering of the festival participants for the solemn procession at the District House of Culture.
12.00 – 12.30 – The procession from the District House of Culture to the main stage.
12.30-16.00 – Inauguration of the "Ringing pearls of the Verkhovyna" festival, concert of amateur groups, the competition for the best performance of kolomyika (central square of the town).
12.00-17.00 – Review of expositions, exhibitions of the district villages, preformances of folk musicians, trembita players, pipers, kolomyika singers, drymba players, folk groups, tasting of Verkhovyna dishes.
18.00 – 21.00 – Concert of contemporary artists, karaoke contest.
22.00 – Fireworks.
21.00 – 24.00 – Mass entertainment, disco on the central square of the town
Audience at the festival will be treated with the performance of special guest – singer Nataliya Valevska. Also groups from other regions of Ukraine as well as from abroad will take part in the festival.
