From the 23rd to the 30th of April, the theater festival "Under the Sakura Blossom" will take place for the second time in the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Music and Drama Theater. Companies from different parts of Ukraine will present chamber theatrical art.
On Monday, April 23, the Kyiv Academic Theater "Wheel" will show the modern vaudeville "The Passion of the House of Mr. H.-P." based on the play by Olena Pchilka.
On Tuesday, April 24, Volyn Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Taras Shevchenko will present the monodrama "Wall" based on the play by Yuriy Shcherbak.
On Wednesday, April 25, the National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesia Ukrainka from Kyiv will show the lyrical story "Hey, You – Hello!" based on the play by G.Mamlin. (It will be repeated on the stage of the regional puppet theater the next day at 13.00).
On Thursday, April 26, the Lviv Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Yuriy Drohobych will show the drama "Margarita and Abulfaz" based on the novel by the recent Nobel Prize winner S.Aleksiyevich.
On Friday, April 27, the Kyiv Academic Youth Theater will show the play "Miss Julie" by August Strindberg.
On Saturday, April 2, the National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Maria Zankovetska will show the biographical performance about Ivan Franko "The Card of Love" based on the play by R. Horak.
On Sunday, April 29, the National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko from Kyiv will present the performance "Overture. Goodbye" based on the story by Ivan Franko "Jay Wing".
And the festival will finish on Monday, April 30, with the performance of the local theater. Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Sherehiy brothers will present the tragicomedy "Better Stay Dead" based on the play by K. Wittlinger.
The beginning of the performances is at 18:00.
