The festival “Music Without Borders” starts in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

The international festival "Music Without Borders" is taking place in Uzhgorod for the fifth time.

Initiated by the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, every time it pleases us with interesting meetings and acquaintances. 

The main idea of the festival is in its title: during the festival, music of all eras, styles, genres, and forms dominates on the main stage of the region.

So, from 20 to 30 of April, the Great Hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic again will be filled with the "Music Without Borders". Five original and unique concerts are scheduled:

  • April 23, we are welcoming the soloist of the House of Organ and Chamber Music of Bila Tserkva, Honored Artist of Ukraine Tetyana Orlova (organ);
  • April 25, People’s Artist of Ukraine Etella Chupryk (piano), Taras Popovich (flute) and the chamber orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic will play music by Mozart. Conductor – Serhiy Cherniak from the city of Rivne;
  • April 27, guests from Ivano-Frankivsk – jazz quartet "Art Prestige" and the Academic Chamber Orchestra "Harmonia Nobile" – will give us spring jazz;
  • April 30, the final chord of the festival: with Kyiv Saxophone Ensemble of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Kenta Igarashi (saxophone, Japan) and pop-brass band of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic under the direction of Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Spivak.

The opening of the 5th jubilee International festival "Music Without Borders" will be a significant artistic event in the life of our region. Because on April 20, a native of Transcarpathia, known opera singer Georgina von Benza (soprano, Italy) will perform on this stage for the first time. "Gala Lirisa Opera italiana" is the title of the opera diva’s program.
