The extraordinary session was canceled, and the “language issue” was added to the agenda of the 8th session

Deputies will consider the appeal of the Transcarpathian Regional Council to the President of Ukraine regarding the Law of Ukraine "On Education" during the eighth session of the Regional Council, which will be held next Thursday, September 21.

         Today, September 13, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis signed an order stating that "in view of the absence in public access of the final text of the draft Law of Ukraine "On Education" adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 5, 2017, taking into account proposals of more than one third of the total number of deputies of the Regional Council, as well as the order of the Chairman of the Regional Council dated September 4, 2017 No. 32 / 01-49 on convening the regular eighth session of the Regional Council of the VII convocation on September 21, 2017, the order of the Chairman of the Regional Council dated 04.09.2017 № 32 / 01-49 "On convening the eighth session of the Regional Council of the VІІ convocation" shall be amended by adding the item: "On the appeal of the Transcarpathian Regional Council to the President of Ukraine Poroshenko P.O. regarding the Law of Ukraine "On Education" to the list of issues that are to be submitted for consideration at the eighth session of the Regional Council of the VІІ convocation.

 The order of the Chairman of the Regional Council dated 09.12.2017 No. 35 / 01-49 "On convening an extraordinary session of the Regional Council of the VІІ convocation" shall be deemed invalid.
