Almost one hundred paintings, hundreds of visitors – the exhibition of works by the participants of the All-Ukrainian Student Painting Competition "Silver Easel" was opened in the cultural and historical center "Owl’s Nest" in Uzhgorod. The artistic event, which took place for the first time in the city on the Uzh in the autumn of 2016, in a short time has gained not only popularity among creative youth, but also a significant place in the cultural life of Ukraine.
The works of participants of the "Silver Easel" 2016-2017 are exhibited for the first time.
According to one of the organizers of the exhibition Oleksandr Nikitchuk, the exhibition is timed to two events: firstly, on the day of its opening, the registration for participation in the "Silver Easel" III, which will take place on October 9-14, this year, started (details and conditions of registration can be found on the official website of the project – https://molbert.brovdi.art/). Secondly, the exhibition is held within the framework of the celebration of the Day of Uzhgorod, and the competition represents it the best: the artistic event was conceived in the city, it is held here, and the participants portray the beautiful old town on their canvases…
The exhibition of works by the participants of the All-Ukrainian Student Painting Competition "Silver Easel" aroused a great interest among art lovers: famous artists, art historians, students, participants of the competition, as well as numerous residents and guests of the city visited the exhibition on the opening day.
The exhibition will last until September 30, 2017, on weekdays, the working hours are from 12:00 to 19:00, on weekends – from 11:00 to 14:00.
