The exhibition “Folk costumes of the Carpathian Basin” will be presented in Uzhgorod

On January 20, during the Days of Hungarian Culture, the traveling exhibition "Folk costumes of the Carpathian Basin" will be presented in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.  

The project presents the most typical folk costumes of inhabitants of the Carpathian Basin from the collection of György Barna kept in the Otto Hermann Museum in Miskolc (Hungary), which includes a total of 280 folk costumes from 120 settlements of 19 regions.

The exhibition will be presented by its curators and the organizers of the presentation in Transcarpathia – representatives of the Consulate General of Hungary in the city of Uzhgorod, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian RSA, Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.

The chamber and instrumental ensemble "Hungarian Melodies" of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic will create an appropriate atmosphere at the meeting.
