The solo exhibition and auction of Transcarpathian artist Naum Repkin was opened yesterday in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum. The event is held to support the chemotherapy department of Uzhgorod Regional Oncology Center.
The artist started doing charity after overcoming a serious illness in 1996 with the help of medical oncologists. And 2 years after the surgery, he even brought from Stockholm a medal for winning the swimming competition among veterans.
Not long ago, Naum Repkin gave some of his paintings for selling to collect money for the children from families affected by floods in Slovakia.This time, the museum exhibits over 30 works by the artist. He calls himself the best advertisement of our oncologists and is convinced that such professionals should have monuments dedicated to them during their lifetime.
The exhibition of paintings by Naum Repkin will run in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum for about two weeks. During this time, anyone can buy his paintings. The funds raised will be donated to support the chemotherapy department of Uzhgorod Regional Oncology Center.
