The driver who committed traffic accident and fled, has been arrested

September 28th, about two o’clock at night, inspectors of Uzhgorod traffic police promptly found a driver who committed the accident and fled the scene the night before.
 
The young man, driving "Volkswagen Passat", moving down the Mynaiska street toward the Grushevsky street while entering at the gas station exceeded the safe speed resulting in collision with an "Entry" sign.
Realizing that he had done harm, the driver decided to disappear from the accident scene just as quickly. The situation was complicated by the fact that the car had no license plates. However, inspectors in a few hours tracked down the driver and the vehicle. In addition to the absence of license plates (they were in the luggage compartment) the driver did not have a driver’s license.
The offender was arrested and, besides pecuniary damage he will assume responsibility under four articles of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Violations – said the traffic police department of the Administration of MIA of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.
