The dormitory on Dekabristy street in Uzhgorod will be privatized

The decision was adopted at the regular meeting of the XXVI session of Uzhgorod City Council of the VI convocation.

It is the dormitory of Uzhgorod Trade and Economic College, located at Dekabristy street, 39. One part of the dorm for years has been inhabited by families, another part – by the college students.

However, the college management state that the dormitory is under the Ministry of Education, that is it can not be privatized, and offer residents to enter into contracts, in other words – to become tenants

According to the results of voting, the deputies decided to appeal to the Ministry of Education on the transfer of the part, where families currently live, into private ownership.  46 of the 53 present deputies voted "for".

Recall, residents of the dormitory on Dekabristy street in Uzhgorod promised to arrange a rally in front of the city council. They also prepared a collective appeal.
