The distinguished guest was promised the first stage of restoration works in the Nevytsky castle would be carry out this year

This was stated by Hennadiy Moskal during the vist of the first lady to the Nevytsky castle.  The results of her visit were posted on the Poroshenko Foundation Facebook page, where, in particular, they talk about the castle itself and the project for its restoration.

The project was presented during the visit to the object of cultural and historical heritage by the head of Transcarpathian region Hennadiy Moskal. In order to preserve and prevent the complete destruction of the castle, the first stage of urgent works on the restoration of the Nevytsky castle is planned to be carried out in 2018. UAH 10.7 million from the State Budget and UAH 500 thousand from local budgets is allocated for the performance of these works.

 Marina Poroshenko acknowledged that the Nevytsky castle is one of the oldest buildings of Transcarpathia, which has an extremely high architectural value and has no analogues in Ukraine. The restoration of the monument will contribute to the development of tourism infrastructure and the actualization of the national cultural heritage.

After the completion of the first stage of urgent works, the main tower of the Nevytsky Castle will be open to tourists. And it will definitely contribute to additional revenues to local budgets and the development of tourist infrastructure of the region.
