The direct train “Mukachevo – Budapest” will start running shortly

The direct train "Mukachevo – Budapest" will start running shortly. Yevhen Kravtsov wrote about this on his Facebook page:

  "The "Ukrzaliznytsya" PJSC together with MÁV-START nemzetközi utazások plans to launch a direct route "Mukachevo – Budapest". The talks with our Hungarian counterparts have just finished. They are ready to provide a rolling stock that will be running along the tracks, which connect these two cities. The significant advantage of this route is that it will not require transfer of cars from wide to narrow gauge. 
It will save several hours of travel time.

The distance between Mukachevo and Budapest is about 400 km. The price for tickets is quite affordable: the second class – a little more than 700 hryvnias, the first class – about 1000 hryvnias. 
We have ambitious plans for the reconstruction of the railway station in Mukachevo. We plan to build a powerful hub there for travel to the EU countries.

I am sure the new convenient route will open to Ukrainians even more interesting cities in Europe!"
