The deputy chief of Perechyn police department was detained for bribe

The security forces conducted a special operation in Perechyn, where the deputy chief of the Perechyn police department was detained on bribe

Initially, the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathia reported that officers of one of the district police stations were blackmailing a local businessman and demanded from him 5 thousand hryvnias every month. Eventually, they opened a criminal case against this entrepreneur and demanded a bribe to close the case. 

The businessman finally reported about this blackmail to the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Security Service officers detained the deputy chief of the police department during the receipt of the first tranche of a bribe in the amount of $ 3 thousand.

Later, the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathia reported that the detainee was the deputy chief of the Perechyn department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathia.
