The decision on the construction has been canceled! (PHOTOS)

Today, there was an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council, where they considered only one issue: on the revocation of the city planning conditions and restrictions on the construction at the land plot on 8 Bereznya – Mozhaisky streets.

The day before, there was a big outcry in the city due to the felling of trees in this area. Therefore, this morning this issue was considered at the meeting under the chairmanship of the mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv, with the participation of specialists of various structural units of Uzhgorod City Council. There were also residents of the houses near this plot of land and representatives of the developer company.

At the meeting of the executive committee, it was said that the land plot had been leased in 2007. The developers started preparatory work for the construction and cut down several trees without permit.

Also, in 2016, the City Council decided to impose a moratorium on the provision of city planning conditions and restrictions for designated territories, including the plot at the corner of 8 Bereznya – Mozhaisky streets. Also, the people have appealed to the court to cancel the decision to grant this land for lease.

In view of all the circumstances, the members of the executive committee at today’s extraordinary meeting supported the decision to cancel the city planning conditions and restrictions for the construction on the plot of land on 8 Bereznya – Mozhaisky streets, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs.
