During the visit to Transcarpathia, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the curator of the region Oleg Proskuryakov and the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda visited the children’s camp "Barvinok" in Perechyn.
Currently, over seventy pupils (aged 8-14 years) from Perechyn and neighboring districts are staying in "Barvinok". The officials inspected the living conditions of children, reviewed the program of leisure and diet, talked with the children and staff.
– We came here without warning or any preparation and were able to see the real situation in the camp. We checked the kitchen and talked to chefs. We saw that, even though the building is quite old, they ensure the cleanliness and try to create a comfortable environment for children – the head of the region Oleksandr Ledyda shared his impressions of the visit.
– I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw here in the camp, – Oleg Proskuryakov said. – I even had the chance to talk to children. The fact that they are cheerful and active is the best evidence in favor of really good conditions for recreation in Transcarpathia.
