According to the head of Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office Dmytro Kirilenko, the investigation department of Uzhgorod police has registered a criminal proceeding under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over acts of hooliganism involving Uzhgorod city council deputies and other persons with the use of traumatic weapons, the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office informs.
Currently, urgent investigation activities are ongoing.
Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office carries out procedural control in this criminal proceeding.
According to Dmytro Kirilenko, the punishment provided by the specified in Article 296, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism committed by a group of persons with firearms or knives or other objects specially adapted or prepared in advance for inflicting bodily injury) is imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
Recall that a few days ago, it was reported about the shooting in the city center – near the infamous "Crown". The photos of the aftermath were posted on Facebook by the victim Yevhen Rakhimov.
