The Court recognized the expulsion of Uzhgorod City Executive Committee members to be illegal (DOCUMENTS)

Uzhgorod City Court, presided over by the Judge O. Fazykosh, partly upheld the claim of human rights and community activist Oleksandr Volosyansky and invalidated para. 1 of Part 2 of the Uzhgorod City Council decision dd. 29.03.2013 № 888 "On amendments to the decision of the I session of the City Council of the VI convocation dd. 08.11.2010 № 8" regarding the removal of Mr. Volosyansky from the Executive Committee.

"Thus, in addition to truth, honor, conscience, morality, law, in this case I was also backed by the court – Oleksandr Volosyansky wrote on his page in facebook.
That means that the court basically confirmed that the City Council adopted this decision unlawfully and illegally. Namely, on March 29, 2013, the Mayor V. Pogorelov, in violation of the established procedure, made a proposal at the session of the council to remove me and other members of the Executive Committee from the Executive Committee, without any prior discussion and consideration by deputies.
Therefore, Uzhgorod Mayor, exceeding his authority, broke the law, and this illegal decision was reversed by the court. I hope that the Mayor will admit his guilt and will not appeal" – Volosyansky said. 

Recall, in late March people who dared to express disagreement with initiatives of the city government were removed from the Executive Committee.
