The court ordered the Cabinet to review the living wage

On September 17, 2015, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv ordered the Cabinet to review the living wage.

This is stated in the statement of the Administrative Court.

"The court ordered the government to take measures envisaged by the legislation and to apply the available competence – namely to conduct scientific and public examination of food set, set of non-food products and set of services to establish the living wage in Ukraine", – the statement reads.

Also, to review the content of sets of non-food products and services for major social and demographic groups.

The court also ordered the Cabinet to establish the living wage in Ukraine for 2015 in the manner and under the provisions of the Law "On Living Wage".

Recall that on September 17, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed the draft law on increasing the minimum wage and subsistence minimum by 13%.

As reported, the Finance Ministry intends to set the minimum wage as of January 1, 2016 at 1,378 UAH, and the living wage – at 1,330 UAH.

Also, on December 1, 2017, the Ministry of Finance plans to set the minimum wage at 1,668 UAH, and the living wage – at 1,611 UAH.
