The court meeting in the case of Istvan Tsap has begun in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

The consideration of the appeals of Istvan Tsap and the prosecutor on the pretrial restraint against the suspect has begun in Uzhgorod – the Holos Karpat informs.

The parties ask to cancel the decision of the investigating judge of Uzhgorod city and district court, which denied the request for a pretrial restraint in the form of detention and imposed a pretrial restraint in the form of house arrest for the first deputy mayor of Uzhgorod.

"I am following all the instructions of the court, attend to all sessions, unlike the prosecutors and investigators, I handed over my passports, etc. Therefore, I do not see any reason to take me under house arrest, much less demand an 800,000 UAH bail", – Tsap said.

Recall that during the court meeting, which took place on February 7, 2017, the suspect filed the motion to postpone the consideration of the appeals due to replacement of the defender, who had refused to further take part in the proceeding. The Court of Appeal granted the request and postponed the consideration of the appeals for 3 days.
