The court granted the petition brought by the prosecutor’s office and seized the Fundanych store

According to the head of Uzhgorod local prosecution office Dmytro Kirilenko, Uzhgorod City and District Court granted the petition of the pretrial investigation brought by the local prosecutor’s office and seized the historic building of the Fundanych store in Uzhgorod, thus prohibiting the developer to use in any way or carry out construction works on the building at Voloshin st., 47 in Uzhgorod.

The court order states that the building of the Fundanych store in Uzhgorod is material evidence in the criminal proceeding over destruction of the historic building, that is listed in the historical and architectural plan of the city as an object of cultural heritage with the appropriate protection, status on the pretext of reconstruction with addition of a residential house at Voloshin st., 47.
