There was nothing illegal in the privatization of the complex "The Crown" in Uzhgorod city center. This conclusion can be drawn from the decision of the Commercial Court of the Transcarpathian region. The presiding judge, Vasyl Kryvka, today, January 10, dismissed all claims of the prosecution of Uzhgorod.
At this hearing, Uzhgorod prosecution demanded to recognize the privatization of the complex illegal due to violation of a number of procedures. In particular, not all premises of the "The Crown" were evaluated when the price of the object was being determined. Representative of the PE "Koruna", which previously rented the complex, upheld the claim of the prosecutor.Instead, lawyers of "Project Hotel Consulting Ltd." – the company that bought the complex – and the Department of Municipal Economy of Uzhgorod City Council argued that privatization was legitimate. Now prosecutors of Uzhgorod may appeal the decision in Lviv Commercial Court of Appeal.Recall that last year the Department of Municipal Economy of Uzhgorod (headed by Oleksiy Kasperov) sold the historic complex for 8,065,000 UAH. Experts say that this is an extremely low price for such a facility.
