The court continues considering the challenge of the appointment of the City Council Secretary and deputy mayors

A hearing on the challenge of the appointments of the City Council Secretary, deputy mayors and formation of the executive committee will take place in Uzhgorod

The trial on the suit of civic activists, who are challenging the legitimacy of appointments in the City Council, including the Secretary Bogdan Andriyiv, the first deputy mayor Ivan Voloshin, the manager of the executive committee Daniela Gevorgyan and the current members of the Executive Committee, has been lasting for several months and is going to its logical conclusion.

On Monday, September 21, 2015, at 14.30, in Uzhgorod district court, there will be a hearing in the case number 308/15482 /14-a on the claim of civic activists of the regional center of Transcarpathia against Uzhgorod city council, where the City Council Secretary Bogdan Andriyiv, the First Deputy Mayor Ivan Voloshin, the Deputy Mayor Olga Travins, the manager of the City Executive Committee Daniela Gevorgyan are third parties.

It is about recognition as illegal and abolition of the City Council resolutions on the appointment of the specified persons, changing the membership of the Executive Committee.

The judge Oksana Monich will preside at the hearing. 

The trial on the suit of civic activists, who are challenging the legitimacy of appointments in the City Council, has been lasting for several months. In fact, the matter should have already been resolved, but the ruling has been postponed on formal grounds, including the absence of some plaintiffs.

However, the decision may be taken by the judge in the near future and, quite probably at this meeting.
