The conscription rate for Transcarpathia has been increased from 425 to 455 people

 This was stated by the military commissar of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Commissariat Col. Bogdan Cheremisky at the today’s briefing in the Regional State Administration. According to B. Cheremisky, compared to the autumn campaign, the conscription rate for Transcarpathia has been somewhat increased – from 425 to 455 people. During the autumn draft, the region met the target. – Currently, conscription for the regular military service is applied to male citizens of Ukraine, who are 18 years old or older as of the date of dispatch to the military units. This is the rule of law. However, the Presidential Decree states that men shall be called to the army starting from the age of 20. But, with the consent of parents, the conscript can serve at the age of 18. Also, older men under the age of 27, who do not have the right to exemption or deferral from recruitment for regular military service, shall be called.

 According to the law, the spring draft will be held in our country in April-June 2019. Regarding the duration of military service, it remains the same: 18 months – for citizens without higher education, 12 months – for citizens with higher education ("master" level).
