The competition “Vertical Race” was launched in Mukachevo (PHOTOS)

On March 26, with the support of the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia", the competition in mountain running "Mukachevo Vertical Race – 2016" and cycling competition in mini uphill format took place near Mukachevo. With the distance of 1000 meters and the height difference between start and finish of 80 meters. 52 participants (31 men and 21 women) were competing in three age categories of the race.

The winners in the category born in 2004 and younger (men) are:

First place – Babush Oleksandr (4 min.33sec).
Second place – Melekhov Yaroslav (5 min.28sec).
Third place – Tsepurdey Vladislav (5min.32sec).
In the category born in 2000-2003 (men), the winners are:
First place – Vinyarski Boris (4 min.30sec).
Second place – Kurbanov Akim (4 min.41sec).
Third place – Hodmash Andriy (4 min.43sec).
In the category born in 1999 and older, the winners are:
First place – Raschupkin Serhiy (3 min.30sec).
Second place – Shymonya Mykola (3 min.53sec).
Third place – Zhemoyedov Anatoly (3 min.57sec).
The winners among girls are:
Born in 2004 and younger
First place – Smochko Valeria (5 min.15sec).
Second place – Brodnikova Karina (5 min.19sec).
Third place – Tsepurdey Katerina (5 min.34sec).

Second place – Solonets Hanna (6 min.09sec).
Third place – Shutko Timea (6 min.33sec).

First place – Roshko Adriana (4 min.50sec).
Second place – Shozda Natalia (5 min.02sec).
Third place – Kondur Georgina (5 min.12sec).

10 participants took part in the cycling competition. The winner among adults was Arthur Gerhard, silver went to Yaroslav Markulynets, and Oleksandr Kasyanov became bronze medalist. Among juniors, the winners were: Oleg Markulynets (first place), Andriy Drahula (second place) and Vadim Radzinsky (third place).

All winners of the competition were awarded with medals, diplomas and prizes from sponsors of the competition.
