High Commissioner for National Minorities of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Lamberto Zanier will visit Uzhgorod this week. This was announced by the deputy foreign minister Vasyl Bodnar on his page in social networks:
"On the order of the Minister @PavloKlimkin on February 6-7, I will be on a working trip to Uzhgorod. There will be meetings with representatives of the regional authorities and the local Hungarian community, talks with the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities L. Zanier and Ukrainian-Hungarian consultations."
Recall that yesterday an unknown person threw a bottle with a flammable mixture in the window of the building of the regional office of the Union of Transcarpathian Hungarians in Uzhgorod. Neither the building nor its employees suffered as a result of the incident, Ukrainian law enforcement officers responded promptly to the situation.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin immediately condemned this action, calling it "a shameful way."
